Twitter celebrates International Women’s Day

LAHORE: The world is celebrating International Women’s Day on Thursday to commemorate the movement of women’s rights.

In 1910, International Women’s Conference suggested March 8 to be celebrated as International Women’s Day.

The people around the world including politicians, celebrities, athletes, and organisations shared their messages regarding the day.

The government of Pakistan paid tribute to the extraordinary efforts of women who have been struggling hard since ever.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif tweeted today we celebrate the services, and contributions of our women that they are making for the development of Pakistan.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa stated we are proud of role and contributions of our women in uniform, back home and especially the ones who belong to martyrs’ families.
