MULTAN: Police arrested two people on Saturday for their alleged involvement in aerial firing in Multan right after the results of Senate elections were announced.

According to local authorities, two individuals identified as Muhammad Umar and Muhammad Farhan stand accused of indulging in aerial firing after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) backed candidate Rana Mehmood-ul-Hasan announced as the victor in the Senate polls.

After recovering weapons from accused, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against them, the police said.
