HYDERABAD: The Anti-Encroachment Squad has demolished over 300 illegal cattle sheds and shifted thousands of buffaloes in the second phase of the anti-encroachment operation along the left bank canals of Kotri Barrage, which entered its final stage on Thursday.
According to a spokesperson of the district administration Hyderabad, the anti-encroachment operation has been launched along the left bank canals of Kotri Barrage on the orders of the Water Commission of the Supreme Court, and the Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Saleem Rajput was personally monitoring the situation.
The Anti-Encroachment Squad of HMC led by Toheed Ahmed has been engaged in unearthing the illegal constructions, the spokesperson informed. All illegal constructions including cattle sheds and poultry farms from Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Flyover to the Hatri Bypass have been removed, he added.
