RAWALPINDI: Twelve militants of the Baloch Republican Army (BRA), including two key leaders, surrendered to security forces in Balochistan’s Noshki area along with weapons and ammunition, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Thursday.

According to ISPR, the militants had laid down their weapons as a result of intelligence efforts. The key militants have been identified as Wali Khan and Karghani.

Meanwhile in Punjab, Rangers along with police and intelligence agencies conducted intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Faisalabad, Lahore and Islamabad.

At least 39 suspects, including 8 illegal Afghans, were taken into custody during the IBOs in the last two day, the ISPR said.
