ISLAMABAD: At least 20 insurgents, including a Baloch Sub Nationalists (BSN) commander, surrendered to Pakistan Rangers Punjab on Tuesday, stated a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In his confession, the Ferrari commander said they were being funded and supported by Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) through the founder and leader of the Baloch Republican Party, Brahamdagh Bugti.
The arrested militant said he and his accomplices were misinformed and fed negative narrative against the state for decades.
“By design, people of Balochistan living in far flung areas were kept aloof,” the ISPR press release quoted the BSN commander as having said.
The arrested BSN commander apologised for his past deeds that caused immense damage to the state, and committed to living a crime-free life and contribute to the prosperity of Pakistan. He also appealed to other fugitives to surrender to the government of Pakistan.
Director General Pakistan Rangers Punjab, Major-General Azhar Naveed Hayat Khan, appreciated the efforts made by Rangers and other law enforcement agencies in the ongoing operations.
