Seven Health Department employees were arrested along with medicines stolen from government hospitals here on Saturday.
The police on a tip-off conducted raid in Dhoke Chaudhrian during which a government employee of Health Department was arrested with stolen medicines.
On information provided by the detainee, the police arrested six more employees of Holy Family Hospital with stolen medicines. The detainees were involved in stealing medicines from the government hospitals and selling them to the owners of private medical stores.
The police confiscated the medicines and after registering cases against the detainees started the investigation.
