A meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in the Superior Courts was held on Friday in the Parliament House. The meeting chaired by Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, was attended by Senator Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Senator Farooq Naek, Mahmood Bashir Virk, MNA, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi, MNA and Senate Secretary Amjed Pervez.
The committee considered the recommendations of Judicial Commission of Pakistan for confirmation of three additional judges of Sindh High Court in its meeting held on June 12, 2017. The Parliamentary Committee agreeing with the recommendations of the Judicial Commission confirmed the nominations of Mr Justice Rasheed Ahmed Soomro, Mr Justice Arshad Hussain Khan and Mr Justice Muhammad Saleem Jessar as judges of the said court.
