Dawn Leaks report be presented in NA: PTI demands

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has formally submitted a resolution in the National Assembly Secretariat, demanding that the ‘Dawn Leaks Inquiry Report’ be presented before the National Assembly forthwith.

The resolution was submitted by PTI MNA Murad Saeed in the NA Secretariat on Tuesday in which he demanded that the inquiry report pertaining to the Dawn Leaks should be presented before the House sans any delay.

The resolution reads, “The Ministry of Interior presents complete report compiled and submitted by investigation commission on the famous “News Leak Scandal” before the house without any further delay.”

Murad Saeed said that the government should prove by its action that the parliament was supreme, because the sanctity and image of the august house was badly tarnished due to the actions and attitude adopted by the government.

The PTI MNA said that the sanctity of the parliament house badly damaged owing to the lies by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the floor of the house during his speech.

He said that the parliament should be given priority on all issues including national security and all issues should be presented and debated there, because it was the supreme institution.
