Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson Naeemul Haque on Tuesday clarified that his comments regarding former Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and the 2013 general elections were his personal opinion and do not reflect the party’s general view.
While talking to a private TV channel, the spokesperson had alleged that Gen Kayani had rigged the last general elections, causing his party to lose and allowing the PML-N to win.
“My comments on Geo last night about General Kayani were my own and do not reflect [the] party[‘s] stance in any way,” the spokesperson later said in a tweet.
