FC: Security forces foiled a bid of suicide bombers to attack a Frontier Constabulary training center at Shabqadar on Friday morning in Charsadda.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two suicide bombers were killed in an encounter, while one Frontier Constabulary soldier was killed and another was injured.
Meanwhile, terrorists from across the Afghan border attempted a physical attack on a Pakistani FC security post in Khyber Agency. Pakistani troops responded effectively, killing six terrorists. Two soldiers were also killed in the exchange of fire.
RANGERS: Rangers claimed to have gunned-down five alleged terrorists, while rounding up seven suspects during search operations in different areas of Dera Ghazi Khan.
On a tip-off, the Rangers personnel raided hideouts in Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday morning, where the terrorists started firing the raiding party. The Rangers retaliated and shot five alleged terrorists dead.
The paramilitary troops also apprehended seven suspects, and recovered a huge cache of weapons and explosives from the area.
The suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
Punjab Rangers Director General Maj Gen Azhar Naveed Hayat Khan on Friday visited Dera Ghazi Khan wherein he was given a briefing about the operation.
He lauded the courage and high morale of the Jawans and directed them to utilize all available resources.
POLICE: As many as 54 suspected persons have been held by police and security forces during search operations in Jhelum and Lodhran
Sources said that the police and security forces carried out door to door searches of 50 houses in different areas of Lodhran and apprehended 40 suspected persons. Biometric verification of the arrested persons was also conducted.
Weapons were recovered from the possession of one suspect and the police also took 10 motorcycles into their custody.
Meanwhile 14 other suspected persons were held from Jhelum in joint operations. Police said that cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects under Rent act.
