PTI lawmakers walkout of NA to protest Javed Latif’s comments against Murad Saeed

Representatives of the PTI walked out of the National Assembly today to protest against the slanderous remarks passed by the PML-N parliamentarian Javed Latif for Murad Saeed’s sisters.

The remarks were reportedly passed after a fight that broke out between Murad Saeed and Javed Latif on Thursday, at the main entrance to the Parliament after an NA session.

“The incidents that took place on Thursday were unfortunate,” PTI’s Arif Alvi said while addressing the NA before the walkout.

He urged female parliamentarians to support the PTI’s stance on suspending Latif’s membership due to the fact that Latif passed slanderous remarks about Saeed’s sisters.

They were joined by the PPP, who walked out with them.

Footage of the incident showed Saeed attempting to assault Latif as the latter was leaving the Parliament premises. When asked about the reasons behind the fight, Saeed justified his reaction by saying that the PML-N parliamentarian had called his leader [Imran Khan] a traitor.
