Action initiated against NADRA employee in Kuwait over embezzlement

On the directive of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the action has been initiated against an employee in the NADRA office at Pakistan Embassy in Kuwait for reportedly embezzlement of lakhs of rupees.

The visa of the accused has been cancelled and the embassy officials have taken his passport into custody, however, accused employee Adnan Akram has disappeared. An FIA team has left for Kuwait to arrest him.

Adnan Akram was an employee in the NADRA office at Pakistan Embassy in Kuwait and was accused of Rs 82 lakh embezzlement in the NADRA account from 2010 to 2012.
