PPDWP approves development schemes worth Rs. 5,383 million

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) approved two development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 5,383.507 million.

The schemes were approved in the 26th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.

Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

According to the spokesman for P&D, the approved development schemes included Promotion of High Value Agriculture through Provision of Climate Smart Technology Package at the cost of Rs. 4,884.13 million and Widening / Improvement of road from Heera Adda to Ghalloo More Ladhana and Pir Jaggi Sharif, Tehsil Layyah (L=37.80 km) (G-I 0.00 to 20.00 km length 20.00 K-II 20.00 to 37.80 length=17.80 km), Layyah at the cost of Rs. 499.377 million.
