A police constable was electrocuted to death in the Pakpura area.
The deceased, identified as Muhammad Saeed, had been deployed in Cantt Police Station and carried out his duties at General Bus Stand.
The deceased received a powerful electric shock from a pedestal fan and was found lying dead on the floor under the fan. The deceased was spotted by a neighbour who rushed to inform the police.
The police took the body in their possession and shifted it to hospital premises for medico-legal formalities. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
