Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch accuses Zardari, others of ordering ‘hits’

After the shocking revelations by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) convicted hitman Saulat Mirza in a video broadcast just hours before his execution on Wednesday night, reports relating revelations made by Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch and his criminal association with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) surfaced on Thursday.

A news channel on Thursday revealed that notorious Lyari gangster Baloch had told UAE authorities that he had committed murders allegedly on the orders of PPP leadership, including its Co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari among others.

Baloch, currently being detained in UAE, claimed that he was in direct contact with the PPP leadership and that he had carried out targeted killings in the city on the orders of PPP leaders. Some of these orders, he claimed, came directly from the PPP co-chairman, former Sindh home minister Zulfiqar Mirza, incumbent Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon and even PPP leader Owais Muzaffar Tappi.

The news channel further claimed that PPP is trying its utmost to prevent Baloch from being extradited to Pakistan.

Refuting Baloch’s allegations, Memon said that the PPP never ordered him to carry out any criminal activity. Instead, the Sindh information minister pointed out that it was under the last PPP regime that the biggest operation against criminal elements was carried out in gang-infested Lyari.

“We have always said that action should be taken against criminals irrespective of their political affiliation,” said Memon.

Saulat Mirza has been brought back from (near) death to be used against MQM people.

And now according to PT report, Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch has made allegations that he had committed murders on the orders of PPP leadership, including its Co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari, as also on the orders of former Sindh home minister Zulfiqar Mirza, incumbent Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon and even PPP leader Owais Muzaffar Tappi.

No wonder Uzair Baloch's return to Pakistan is being delayed on one pretext or another.

Now, would Uzair Baloch be ever brought back to Pakistan or the matter allowed to die its natural death, since it is different?

And by the way, will Punjab leaders be taken to task for their part in Model Town shooting which left fourteen innocent persons dead and another eighty suffering bullet wounds. Or is that even more different?
