Pakistan’s first spy action thriller ‘Operation 21’ has completed its final editing and is currently in its final stage of production.
The film, produced by One Motion Pictures, is based on a screenplay by the international award winning writer, Summer Nicks. Zeba Bakhtiar is the film’s executive producer and the lead roles are played by Aamina Sheikh, winner of the best actress prize at the New York International Film Festival, the renowned actor Shaan Shahid who has received kudos through countless Pakistani blockbusters, and Iman Ali.
The film features songs by legendary Pakistani singer Rahet Fateh Ali Khan. The soundtrack includes three original songs and three remixes.
High end digital cameras normally found in Hollywood have enabled the makers of The Extortionist to produce an ambitious spy thriller about an agent working for the CIA. Zeba Bakhtiar said, this film is about the things that are affecting Pakistan especially the terrorism and unrest in the country at the moment. With new cinemas being built and new films in production some hope that the Pakistan may one day be able to send its unique style of films to India’s huge cinema market.
