Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif made Punjab Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Aslam Dogar an officer on special duty (OSD) on Tuesday while Press Secretary to the CM, Shoaib Bin Aziz has been given the additional charge of DGPR, Pakistan Today has learnt. According to sources, Dogar has been made an OSD after he developed differences with some government “high-ups”. They said that the move had also given additional charge of the DGPR to a “blue-eyed” official of the Punjab government. “Aziz who retired as secretary information was accommodated after retirement and hired as a consultant on press relations to the CM. After the current step, Aziz has been further empowered by giving this charge as well,” sources said adding that this left a “bad impact” on officers.
