Judson Laipply is an American motivational speaker and dancer who is best known for his performance in the ‘Evolution of Dance’ viral video clip from 2006. The video is a six minute, extremely entertaining (despite it being a one-man show) performance on dance that spans five decades of pop music. Using iconic songs such as ‘The Twist’, ‘YMCA’, ‘Billie Jean’, ‘Thriller’, ‘Ice Ice Baby’, and ‘The Macarena’ amongst twenty other songs, Laipply really did give us the evolution of dance.
The clip received 70 million views in under eight months after being uploaded you YouTube.com and was then rated the Most Viewed Video, Top Rated and Most Discussed. To date ‘The Evolution of Dance’ has had 164,061,509 views.
