Anthropic restores Claude Fable 5 to Max and Team Premium plans
Anthropic says Claude Fable 5 will return to Max and Team Premium plans from July 20 at 50pc of usage limits. Pro and Team Standard users will continue to access the model through usage credits, with a one-time $100 credit.

ISLAMABAD: Anthropic said on Saturday it will add its advanced AI model, Claude Fable 5, back into paid Max and Team Premium subscriptions from July 20, with access set at 50 per cent of weekly usage limits.
The company said Fable 5 had previously been made available in Pro, Max, Team and selected Enterprise plans from July 1 to 7 at up to half of weekly usage limits. After that period, the model remained available through usage credits instead of being included in regular plan limits.
In a post on Saturday, Claude said users on Max and Team Premium plans would again receive the model as part of their subscriptions from July 20. Pro and Team Standard subscribers, however, will continue to use Fable through credits rather than weekly plan allowances, though they are to receive a one-time $100 credit.
Anthropic said usage credits are meant for subscribers on paid Claude plans, including Pro, Max 5x and Max 20x, allowing them to keep using Claude after they have reached their included limits.
Explaining the phased rollout, the company said demand for Fable had been difficult to forecast and that access had been extended in stages while additional capacity was secured. It also said users had faced uncertainty over what was included in their plans and that the latest change was intended to make access more predictable for the subscriptions that rely most heavily on the model.
Claude said:
Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50 per cent of limits.
It also said:
Demand for Fable has been challenging to predict, which is why we rolled it out to subscription plans in stages, extending access several times as we secured additional capacity.
The company added:
We know this has been frustrating, and we want to give you more certainty about what your plan includes.
In the same post, Claude said it was standardising access at 50 per cent usage for the plans that use Fable most intensively and that it would continue investing in additional capacity.
Fable 5 is the public version of Anthropic's Mythos AI model and was introduced in early June. At the time, Anthropic described it as its most capable model yet released for wider use, saying it performed strongly across software engineering, knowledge work, vision and scientific research, among other areas.
Anthropic Mythos 5 and Fable 5 were redeployed on July 1, less than three weeks after they had been disabled for all users. That suspension followed restrictions ordered by the United States government on access for foreign nationals, citing national security concerns.
Anthropic's listed plans include Free, Pro, Max 5x, Max 20x, Team Standard, Team Premium, Self-serve Enterprise and Sales-assisted Enterprise.
