Pakistani woman wins $1 million in Dubai Duty Free draw on first ticket

DUBAI: A Pakistani woman has won $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw after purchasing her very first ticket.

Hira Nayyer, a 38-year-old finance professional and chartered accountant based in Dubai, won the jackpot with ticket number 1387 in Millennium Millionaire Series 550 after buying the ticket online on the recommendation of a colleague.

Nayyer said she had never heard of the Dubai Duty Free promotion before deciding to try her luck with a single ticket. She was watching the live draw from her office when her ticket number was announced as the winner.

She became the 29th Pakistani national to win the $1 million prize under the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion.

Expressing her excitement, Nayyer described the win as unbelievable and said she never imagined that her first-ever ticket would bring her such a life-changing reward.
