Israeli fire kills seven people in Gaza
Health officials and medics in Gaza said Israeli strikes and gunfire killed at least seven Palestinians on Tuesday. The dead included a child, while several others were reported wounded in Khan Younis, Gaza City and Rafah.

GAZA CITY: At least seven Palestinians, including a child, were killed in separate incidents across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to health officials and medics in the territory.
In southern Gaza, medics said an Israeli airstrike in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis killed one man and injured two children. The Israeli military told Reuters the strike had targeted a Hamas militant. In another strike in Khan Younis, one person was killed and three others were wounded, medics said. The Israeli military said that strike had also been aimed at militants.
In western Gaza City, an airstrike landed near tents sheltering displaced families, killing one person and wounding five others, according to medics. The military said that attack, too, was directed at militants. The Popular Resistance Committees said one of the two strikes in Khan Younis had killed Waheed Abu Salem, describing him as a senior leader of the group.
Later in the day, medics and witnesses said Israeli gunfire in an area of Rafah in southern Gaza killed one Palestinian and injured nine others. The deaths and injuries were recorded in separate episodes of strikes and gunfire during the day.
