Djokovic survives record Wimbledon quarter-final to reach last four
Novak Djokovic beat Felix Auger-Aliassime in Wimbledon's longest ever quarter-final to reach the semi-finals. He will next face world number one and defending champion Jannik Sinner.

LONDON: Novak Djokovic came through the longest quarter-final in Wimbledon history on Tuesday, beating Felix Auger-Aliassime in five sets to move into the semi-finals and set up a meeting with defending champion Jannik Sinner.
The 39-year-old prevailed 7-6 (12/10), 3-6, 6-3, 6-7 (4/7), 7-6 (10/4) after five hours and 15 minutes on Centre Court. Djokovic suffered a calf injury in the opening set but still managed to complete the win over the Canadian third seed.
The victory sent Djokovic into a record-extending 15th Wimbledon semi-final and his 55th Grand Slam semi-final overall. He has now reached the last four at Wimbledon for the eighth successive time, moving ahead of Roger Federer for the longest run of men's singles semi-final appearances at the All England Club. He is also only the second player in the Open era to make the Wimbledon men's semi-finals aged 39 or older, after Ken Rosewall in 1974.
After the match, Djokovic described how he got through the contest.
