Foreign woman details alleged rape and assault in Lahore court statement

LAHORE: One of the two foreign women at the centre of a sexual assault case in Lahore has told a magistrate that she was repeatedly sexually and physically assaulted after armed men entered the house where she was staying, tied the women up and confined them to a room.

The 40-year-old complainant said she is a Spanish national. She stated that on the first night, four armed men entered the house, restrained the women and locked them in a room. She said another foreign woman was also present there but was later taken away.

The case surfaced after police registered a first information report (FIR) at Defence C Police Station against five suspects, including Muhammad Raza Dar, who was identified in the report as the grandson of a prominent political figure. The FIR concerns allegations of abduction, extortion and sexual assault involving two foreign nationals. All five suspects, including Dar, are on physical remand.

Court statement

In her statement, the woman said a man wearing black touched private parts of her body, struck her in the face multiple times and took off her shoes. She further alleged that the same man sexually assaulted her while she remained clothed and continued touching her body.

She also stated that a man identified as Raza Dar later came into the room and asked about a computer and money. The woman said she told him both items were in a green bag. The second woman was then brought back and both were repeatedly questioned about the computer and its password.

The complainant further alleged that when she questioned the men, one of them hit her on the head with a pistol butt. She said she was then taken to a bedroom on the second floor, where a man who spoke fluent English told her that if they handed over the money they would be allowed to live, but if they refused they would be killed.

After that man left, three others entered the room, including an older man carrying a rifle, who told two men to stay with her. She said the men spoke only Urdu, laughed among themselves and repeatedly demanded sexual acts, which she said she refused several times.

The woman alleged that the man in black later took her to another room on the second floor while a younger man remained outside. She said the suspect slapped her when she began crying, told her to stay quiet and raped her repeatedly. The assault ended after she screamed.

Case background

The FIR was registered after a swift emergency rescue operation. The two women had been invited to Pakistan by Raza Dar after he had entered into a business partnership with them in Singapore in October 2025.

The FIR states that the women arrived in Lahore on June 29, 2026, after Dar arranged their travel visas.
