RAWALPINDI: Two men were killed in separate shooting incidents in the Gujar Khan and Kahuta areas of Rawalpindi district, police said.

In Gujar Khan, a young man was allegedly shot dead after what police described as a minor dispute. According to complainant Farukh Sarfraz, he was at home when several men took his brother, Muhammad Ali, away with them. Sarfraz later told police he received a WhatsApp message from Ali saying he had been taken to fields where the suspects were beating him.

When the complainant reached the location, he saw the men fire at Ali, according to the police account based on the complaint. The attackers then fled. Ali was taken to hospital in critical condition but later died of his injuries.

In a separate incident in Kahuta, police said a shopkeeper was allegedly shot dead after he reportedly confronted a suspect over an attempted burglary at his home.
