Siya Goyal demanded Rs10 crore from Ketan Agarwal
Investigators in Pune’s Lohagad Fort murder case claim Siya Goyal’s family demanded Rs10 crore from Ketan Agarwal ahead of a planned marriage. Police probe links to the alleged pre-planned attack and review digital and financial evidence.
Investigators probing the alleged murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal have uncovered claims that the family of the main accused, Siya Goyal, allegedly demanded Rs10 crore from the victim before their planned marriage.
According to police, the alleged demand surfaced during discussions between the two families ahead of the wedding. Investigators are examining whether the financial dispute was linked to the events that ultimately led to the alleged murder.
Police are also investigating the role of co-accused Chetan Chaudhary, who is alleged to have been in a relationship with Siya Goyal. Investigators believe the two conspired to kill Ketan after the marriage plans continued despite their alleged relationship.
The case relates to the death of Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort, where police allege he was pushed into a gorge in a pre-planned attack.
Authorities are analysing digital evidence, financial records and witness statements as part of the ongoing investigation. No formal conclusions have yet been reached regarding the alleged Rs10 crore demand, and the probe remains under way.
