Woman found dead in suspected OD

RAWALPINDI: A woman was found dead near Circular Road in Rawalpindi, while her two young daughters were recovered in a semi-conscious state and taken to hospital, officials said on Saturday.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Waris Khan Police Station. According to Rescue 1122, the woman, believed to be around 35 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene in what authorities suspect may have been an overdose case.

The two girls were identified as 15-year-old Iman Fatima and eight-year-old Hamad Shehzadi. Rescue personnel said both children were in critical condition when they were found. Emergency medical aid was provided at the scene before they were shifted to Benazir Bhutto General Hospital, where they remain under treatment.

Rescue teams moved the body and the two children to hospital, while Rawalpindi Police reached the site and opened an investigation. Police said they are examining the case from multiple angles, including the possibility of suicide, to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
