RAWALPINDI: Three people were murdered in separate incidents in the city, with police detaining one woman and launching raids to apprehend other suspects involved in the killings.
Woman killed over domestic dispute
In the first incident, a woman was murdered allegedly by her husband and in-laws over a domestic dispute in the jurisdiction of Taxila police station. The victim was identified as Sobia, who was killed by her husband Adnan along with his family members. Police registered a case and launched raids to arrest the suspects.
Man shot dead over enmity
In another incident, a man was shot dead over an old enmity in the limits of Wah Cantt police station. The deceased was identified as Sajjad, who was gunned down by the accused identified as Bilal. Police registered a case against the suspect and initiated efforts to arrest him.
Youth murdered over personal dispute
In the third incident, a youth was killed over a personal dispute in the jurisdiction of Rawat police station. The victim was identified as Hamza, who was stabbed to death by the accused named Faisal. Police arrested a woman in connection with the case and conducted raids to nab the main suspect.
Police officials stated that investigations were underway in all three cases and that efforts were being made to bring the remaining suspects to justice. The law enforcement agencies have formed teams to carry out raids at possible hideouts of the absconding accused.
