Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has shared a health update with fans after being diagnosed with a tonsil infection, reassuring followers that he is on the road to recovery.
Taking to Instagram Stories, the singer kept the tone light and humorous while breaking the news.
“My fam, tonsil infection hogaya hai bas. Doctors keh rahe hain beta, bohat gaa liya ab zara ghar baith jao,” he wrote, joking about being advised to rest after a packed schedule of performances.
The update comes during an especially busy phase in his career. Azhar has been touring internationally as part of his 2026 concert run, performing across the United States and Canada.

Several shows reportedly saw strong attendance, with stops in cities like Dallas and New York drawing large crowds, while other venues including Houston, Toronto and Chicago also recorded near-capacity audiences.
The tour is also expected to continue in the United Kingdom, with scheduled performances in Birmingham and London later this year.
Azhar first gained attention early in his career by uploading cover songs on YouTube before rising to mainstream fame through Coke Studio Pakistan, where his performances introduced him to a wider audience across Pakistan and beyond.
His breakthrough came with hits like Jo Tu Na Mila, which went on to achieve major streaming milestones, and later collaborations that further cemented his position in Pakistan’s contemporary music scene.
Despite the current health setback, the singer’s message to fans was simple — he’s recovering, and taking a short pause before returning to his packed performance schedule.
