ISLAMABAD: Police investigating the case involving alleged drug trafficker Anmol, also known as Pinky, have obtained a large amount of digital material from her mobile phone after a forensic review, according to official sources.
The device was examined by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency at the request of police, and the forensic report has now been submitted to the investigating officer. Police had sent the phone for examination on May 15.
According to the information obtained during the probe, investigators extracted more than 100GB of data from the handset. The recovered material includes about 75,000 images, records of online transactions and hundreds of screenshots showing bank deposit slips.
Official sources said investigators believe the financial material is connected to alleged narcotics sales and money transfers involving people linked to the drug trade. The forensic review also retrieved nearly 13,000 contacts from the phone and found that two WhatsApp accounts were being used on the same device, one attached to a regular SIM-based number and the other set up as a business account.
