Karachi likely to see gusty winds and light drizzle this week

KARACHI: Karachi is expected to experience gusty winds along with a chance of drizzle or light rain during the morning hours over the next two days, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department's Early Warning Center.

The Met Office said the city is likely to remain partly cloudy, hot and humid on Tuesday and Wednesday. It added that strong winds may blow at intervals, while light rain or drizzle could occur in the morning.

Temperatures in Karachi are forecast to remain between 34°C and 36°C over the next few days. The Met Office said the city's maximum temperature on Monday reached 34.5°C, while humidity was recorded at 58%.

In a separate advisory, the department said upper parts of the country are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms and windstorms from June 16 to June 20.
