Bugti says Balochistan budget will reflect public needs

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said on Monday that the province’s budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year was being drafted to match public expectations, development requirements and the future needs of Balochistan.

He made the remarks during a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, where parliamentary leaders from allied parties held consultations on the upcoming budget. The discussion also covered development priorities, welfare schemes and the broader political situation in the province.

According to the details shared from the meeting, participants reviewed key areas linked to public welfare and provincial development as part of the budget exercise. The consultations brought together coalition partners ahead of the presentation of the next financial plan.

It was agreed during the meeting that the next provincial budget would be prepared with public needs kept in view.
