Seven TikTokers held over video made at Swabi court premises

SWABI: Police in Swabi have arrested seven men accused of recording and uploading what officials described as inappropriate TikTok content from the premises of the district courts in Shahmansoor.

Othla police station SHO Saddam Khan said the action was taken on the instructions of District Police Officer Waqas Rafiq. He said the men had come to the district courts to appear in a land dispute case when they recorded provocative videos at the site and later posted them on social media.

The accused were identified as Jamil Akbar, Gul Khyber, Hakeem Akbar, Zubair Khan, Arshad Khan, Shiraz Khan and Jahanzeb Khan. According to the SHO, all are residents of Ghabai Serai Banda in the Gadoon Amazai mountainous area.

Attributing the details to the investigation, SHO Khan said the accused had expressed regret over their conduct and assured police they would avoid such actions in the future.

He said police would pursue strict legal action against those who take the law into their own hands, commit violence against women, violate the sanctity of public places and government institutions, or misuse social media.
