Family alleges driver deliberately caused Murree crash

MURREE: A survivor from the family hit by the deadly Murree Expressway crash has alleged that the driver caused the accident after a dispute inside the vehicle, adding a new claim to the ongoing investigation into the incident.

Kashif, who lost 10 relatives in the crash, including his mother, wife and five children, said the argument began when children in the vehicle asked the driver to switch off loud music during the journey. He alleged that the exchange escalated and that the driver, in anger, rammed the vehicle into a wall.

The accident occurred in the Khajat area of the Murree Expressway and left 10 members of the same family dead while 13 others were injured. Kashif’s account has prompted discussion on social media and renewed questions about how the crash took place.

Authorities are examining the incident from multiple angles. The bereaved family has called for a full and transparent investigation to establish what happened and fix responsibility.
