Recently, there has been a noticeable rise in aggressive behaviour, lack of patience, and unwillingness to accept differing opinions. People are becoming impatient and more prone towards anger. The ability of acknowledging other’s opinions and point of view is clearly vanishing. Because of this, there has been an increase in arguments and disagreements between people both in private and public. Hostility is increasing and the element of respect is diminishing. Even minor disagreements often escalate into serious conflicts.
This growing intolerance is harmful to the social fabric of our country. A healthy society only exists if there is mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. When these values decline, it leads to division, misunderstanding, and social instability. The environment becomes toxic and full of negativity.
The root causes of this issue include lack of proper education, influence of sensational media, and absence of patience. It is essential for families, educational institutions, and media platforms to promote tolerance, empathy, and respectful communication. At junior levels, schools and colleges should provide adequate counselling sessions for students to develop tolerance and learn about giving respect to others. Only in this way the youth can become more tolerant and respectful which will make the society better and healthier.
If timely steps are not taken, this trend may further deepen societal divisions. I hope the concerned authorities and citizens will recognize the importance of tolerance and work collectively to restore harmony in our society.
