Pakistan Post to issue Blue Pottery commemorative stamps

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Post has announced that it will issue a special set of commemorative postage stamps on June 10 to mark World Handicrafts Day, according to an official statement issued on Tuesday.

The statement said the stamp series is meant to honour Blue Pottery, describing it as one of Pakistan’s most prominent traditional crafts, while also drawing attention to the country’s cultural and artistic heritage.

Blue Pottery is associated with the historic city of Multan and is known for its cobalt-blue colours, detailed floral motifs and craftsmanship. The official statement described the craft as a centuries-old art form.

Pakistan Post said Blue Pottery continues to represent Pakistan’s cultural identity and artistic legacy.
