Four CDA officers suspended over misconduct

The CDA has suspended four senior officers, including a grade-19 official, under its service regulations. The action was taken over allegations of misconduct, negligence and poor performance.

Four CDA officers suspended over misconduct

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has suspended four senior officers on charges including misconduct, negligence and failure to perform official duties, according to a report.

The action was taken under Regulation 8.05 of the CDA Employees (Service) Regulations, 1992. Among those suspended is grade-19 officer Habib Ullah Sheikh, who had been serving as Director General Infrastructure in his own pay and scale (OPS). He was suspended on charges of inefficiency and misconduct.

Grade-18 officer Naqeebullah, who was working as Deputy Director Market and Roads Maintenance (North), was also suspended. The action against him was taken over misconduct and failure to discharge official responsibilities.

Two other grade-18 officers were also suspended with immediate effect. Mudassir Pervaiz, serving as Director Market and Road Maintenance in OPS, faced suspension over poor performance and negligence in the discharge of duties. Abid Farooq, posted as Deputy Director (Procurement and Contracts Agreements-I), was suspended for failing to fulfil official responsibilities, negligence of duty and unsatisfactory performance.
