Talha Anjum reveals what Indian celebrities are really like behind the headlines

Just days after Indian superstar Arijit Singh won hearts in Pakistan by calling Atif Aslam one of his favourite singers, another cross-border moment is reminding fans that artists often speak a very different language from politics.

This time, it's Talha Anjum.

The Young Stunners rapper has opened up about the warmth and support he has received from Indian artists, saying his real-life experiences are completely different from the hostility often seen during periods of political tension.

Speaking in a recent interview, Talha singled out Indian rapper Badshah and comedian Samay Raina, saying both have consistently shown love and appreciation for Pakistani artists.

Recalling a viral interview in which Badshah praised Young Stunners' hit track Gumaan, Talha said the gesture resonated with fans on both sides of the border.

"He was talking about Gumaan during an interview, and what he said resonated with a lot of people," he said.

Talha had similar praise for Samay Raina.

"Samay Raina is the same way. All these people are extremely warm and loving," he added.

But it was his comments on India-Pakistan tensions that really got people talking.

"That's why, whenever a war-like atmosphere is created and we watch the media, I often wonder, 'Who are these people sitting on television?' Because the people I know are nothing like that," Talha said.

The comments have struck a chord online, especially because they come amid a growing list of cross-border moments involving artists from both countries.

Just recently, Arijit Singh went viral after openly declaring Atif Aslam one of his favourite singers during a concert in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has publicly named Arijit Singh as his dream collaboration despite acknowledging the political barriers that make such projects difficult.

Earlier this year, Asim Azhar and Indian-Punjabi artist Mickey Singh sent fans into a frenzy after a surprise joint performance in Atlanta, creating one of the most talked-about India-Pakistan music moments of the year.

For fans, that's exactly what makes Talha's comments resonate.

While television debates, political statements and border tensions continue to dominate headlines, artists on both sides keep telling a different story — one where Gumaan, Afsanay, Atif Aslam and Arijit Singh are often more powerful than the divide itself.

And judging by the reaction online, that's a story plenty of people still want to hear.
