Dua Lipa marries Callum Turner in low-key London ceremony
Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner were married in a private civil ceremony in London on Sunday, according to media reports. The couple may hold a larger three-day celebration in Sicily next week.

LONDON: Singer Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner were married in London on Sunday, with the private ceremony possibly followed by a three-day celebration in Sicily.
Photos showed the couple leaving Old Marylebone Town Hall after a civil ceremony attended by a small group of relatives and friends. Lipa, 30, wore a white hat and dress by Schiaparelli, while Turner, 36, wore a dark blue suit.
The couple, who have been together since January 2024, exchanged vows in a 30-40 minute ceremony attended by eight close friends and family members. As they came out of the venue, loved ones threw confetti and flower petals before the pair departed in a black car.
The London event was the legal ceremony, with a larger three-day celebration planned for next week in Palermo, Sicily. The couple were preparing a sumptuous gathering, described as a lavish fairytale-style celebration. Festivities are due to take place at the 17th-century Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, with several venues booked. The guest list was rumoured to include Sir Elton John, Charli XCX and Tove Lo, and there was also speculation that Elton John could perform.
Representatives for the couple did not respond to AFP's request for comment.
Lipa, whose parents migrated from Kosovo, rose to prominence in Britain after the release of her 2016 single Be The One. She said in an interview with British Vogue last year that she and Turner intended to marry.
Speaking to the magazine about their relationship, Lipa said:
"This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever - it's a really special feeling."
The singer has also spoken openly about wanting children in the future, while saying motherhood will happen when it happens.
Turner gained international recognition through the Fantastic Beasts films and has also been viewed as a possible contender to become the next James Bond.
The choice of Old Marylebone Town Hall was described as meaningful. Singer Charli XCX, a friend of Lipa, also held a brief civil ceremony there last year before hosting a larger celebration abroad.
