At least 10 people were killed and 1,580 injured in 1,270 road crashes across Punjab in the last 24 hours. Lahore recorded the highest number of accidents, with 188 crashes affecting 256 people.
LAHORE: At least 10 people died and 1,580 others were injured in 1,270 road traffic crashes recorded across Punjab during the last 24 hours, according to official data.
Of the injured, 801 were shifted to hospitals, while 778 people with minor injuries were treated at the scene by Rescue Medical Teams.
The data showed that motorbikes were involved in most of the accidents. Among the victims were 853 adult drivers, 76 underage drivers, 120 pedestrians and 617 passengers.
Lahore reported the highest number of crashes in the province, with 188 road traffic accidents affecting 256 people, the figures showed.
