CTD Sindh issues 10th edition of 'Red Book'

KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh has released the 10th edition of its Red Book, an updated directory carrying details of the province’s most-wanted terrorists and extremist suspects.

According to CTD officials, the 203-page publication includes the latest profiles of highly wanted suspects linked to a range of banned militant organisations. The department said the new edition contains updated records of individuals associated with ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and outlawed Baloch militant groups.

The Red Book contains photographs, personal profiles and intelligence-based information about suspects and their networks. Officials said the document also includes details of several individuals on whom monetary rewards have been announced.

Operational resource for law enforcement

CTD officials described the publication as an important operational tool for law enforcement agencies engaged in counterterrorism work across Sindh. They said the updated edition is intended to support the identification, tracking and arrest of wanted suspects, while also improving monitoring of their activities.

According to the department, the main purpose of the latest Red Book is to strengthen information-sharing among security and law enforcement agencies and improve surveillance of the movements of wanted criminals.

Officials said the updated publication is expected to contribute to more effective and better coordinated counterterrorism operations in Sindh.
