Pakistan broadens health partnerships at Geneva conference
Pakistan’s health minister Mustafa Kamal met his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Syria in Geneva during the World Health Assembly. The countries agreed to strengthen cooperation, public health systems and joint initiatives.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Mustafa Kamal met the health ministers of Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Syria on the sidelines of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, where the countries agreed to expand cooperation in the health sector.
According to the Ministry of National Health Services, the meetings were held as part of Pakistan’s engagements at the assembly and focused on progress in the health sector as well as issues of shared interest.
The ministry said the discussions covered ongoing developments in health and explored ways to deepen collaboration among the participating countries. The sides agreed to further strengthen public health systems and promote joint initiatives in the sector.
They also agreed to benefit from each other’s experiences in health-related matters, the ministry said on Sunday.
