Gwadar University VC, pro-VC return home after 10 days
The University of Gwadar vice chancellor, pro-vice chancellor, another employee and their driver returned home on Sunday after being missing for around 10 days. Officials said they had been freed in Mastung.

QUETTA: The vice chancellor and pro-vice chancellor of the University of Gwadar, along with another university employee and their driver, returned home on Sunday around 10 days after they were reported missing, an official said.
Babar Yousafzai, an aide at the Balochistan Home Department, confirmed their return and said all four had reached their homes safely.
According to sources in Mastung police, Vice Chancellor Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Pro-Vice Chancellor Syed Manzoor Ahmed, the vice chancellor’s staff officer Irshad Ahmed and driver Hatim Ali were freed in the Kardgap area of Mastung. Mullah Barkat Baloch, a relative of Syed Manzoor Ahmed, also confirmed that the pro-vice chancellor had returned home safely.
The four men had gone missing on May 13 while travelling from Gwadar to Quetta. Their mobile phones had been switched off and they could not be traced, while police officials had said they were believed to have been kidnapped. Security forces later launched an intelligence-based search operation and carried out raids at various suspected locations for their recovery.
