Heavy rain triggers landslides, closes Karakoram Highway at several points
Heavy rainfall caused landslides and mudflows, blocking the Karakoram Highway at multiple points. The road is fully closed between Boshidas and Tatta Pani as authorities clear debris and restore traffic.

The Karakoram Highway has been blocked at multiple locations after heavy rainfall triggered landslides and mudflows, disrupting traffic and transport movement in the region.
According to a spokesperson for the National Highway Authority, the road has been completely closed for all types of traffic between Boshidas and Tatta Pani.
The closure has caused difficulties for passengers and freight transporters travelling through the affected areas.
Authorities said heavy machinery had been dispatched to the blocked locations and emergency clearance operations were under way to remove debris and restore connectivity.
The spokesperson added that mudslides and accumulated debris were being cleared on a priority basis, though continuing adverse weather conditions were slowing restoration efforts.
Travellers have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and check road conditions before starting their journeys as rain-related disruptions continue across parts of the region.
