TEL AVIV: Israeli occupiers set fire to a mosque and several Palestinian-owned vehicles early on Friday in the village of Jibiya, northwest of Ramallah, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.

According to Wafa, local sources said occupiers entered the village, torched the mosque and a number of vehicles, and sprayed racist graffiti on the walls of homes.

The attack took place in Jibiya, a village located northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

Separate attack reported south of Nablus

In another incident, occupiers attacked Palestinian homes in the town of Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, Wafa reported.

Security sources told the agency that occupiers targeted houses along the town’s main road and broke several doors. The attack caused panic among women and children, according to the same sources.

Wafa reported both incidents as part of a broader rise in violence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
