Work on flood-hit N-95 Kalam Road to start within 90 days, NA told
The National Assembly was told that work on the flood-affected N-95 Kalam Road in Swat will begin within 90 days. Lawmakers were also informed about approved, allocated and proposed funds for the project.

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was informed on Wednesday that reconstruction work on the flood-affected N-95 Kalam Road in Swat is expected to begin within the next 90 days.
The update was given in response to a calling attention notice moved by MNA Amjad Ali Khan over delays in rebuilding the road, which was damaged during the 2022 floods.
According to the parliamentary secretary, Rs415 million has already been approved for the project. He also told the House that an additional Rs276 million has been allocated.
The parliamentary secretary further said that another Rs950 million has been proposed in the upcoming budget for the road scheme.
Assembly informed about funding allocations
The matter came up in the lower house as lawmakers sought details on progress regarding the restoration of the N-95 Kalam Road, which was affected by the devastating floods of 2022.
During the proceedings, the parliamentary secretary outlined the financial position of the project and said the approved and proposed allocations were aimed at moving the reconstruction work forward.
The House was told that the project has already received Rs415 million in approved funding, while Rs276 million more has also been earmarked. In addition, a further Rs950 million has been proposed in the next budget.
The statement in the assembly indicated that work on the road would begin within 90 days.
