NADRA holds Pak ID awareness drive

HYDERABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) organised an awareness programme in Hyderabad to inform citizens about online identity document services available through its Pak ID system.

As part of the initiative, a three-day awareness stall was established at a shopping mall on Autobahn Road, where NADRA officials guided visitors on the use of the Pak ID online portal and mobile application.

According to the details shared during the event, Zonal Head Aaqib Paliyo and other staff members briefed members of the public on how to submit applications online for a range of services. These included computerised national identity cards, NICOP, family registration certificates (FRC), and CRC, as well as renewal, modification and reprint services for identity cards through NADRA’s digital platform.

Officials said the online facility remains available 24/7, seven days a week, allowing applicants to access services without visiting NADRA centres during office hours.

The programme was aimed at increasing public awareness of digital registration services and encouraging citizens to make use of the online system for identity-related applications.

NADRA officials stated that the initiative was intended to help reduce congestion at NADRA centres while also saving applicants time and improving the efficiency of service delivery.

Citizens briefed on digital services

During the three-day activity, visitors were informed about the steps involved in using the Pak ID system and the types of documents that can be processed through the online platform. The awareness campaign focused on making citizens familiar with the digital tools introduced by NADRA for registration and identity document services.

Officials explained that the portal and mobile application can be used for both new applications and follow-up services linked to identity documents. The briefing also covered services related to renewals, changes in particulars and reissuance of cards.

The event formed part of NADRA’s outreach efforts to promote the use of online public services and facilitate applicants through digital access.

They added that the purpose of the awareness effort was to reduce crowding at NADRA centres and save applicants’ time while improving service efficiency.
