No launch date set for F-12, G-12 sectors
FGEHA has denied reports that Islamabad’s F-12 and G-12 sectors will be launched next month. The authority said both projects remain in the technical stage and no final launch date has been decided.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has rejected reports circulating on social media and in parts of the press claiming that Islamabad’s Sectors F-12 and G-12 will be launched next month.
In an official statement, the authority said both sectors fall under its jurisdiction and are currently at the initial technical stage. All legal and administrative requirements would be completed before any formal launch is announced.
According to the statement, formal approval from the Executive Board will also be obtained before the projects are launched. The authority said landowners, local residents and other stakeholders would be taken into confidence, and all related matters would be settled in consultation with the community.
A spokesperson said FGEHA had issued a clear position that no final date had so far been fixed for the launch of Sectors F-12 and G-12, reiterating that the projects remain in the technical phases.
The spokesperson urged the public to rely only on official sources for updates and avoid spreading or believing unverified information being shared on social media and other platforms.
FGEHA said any formal announcement regarding the launch would be made through authorised channels at an appropriate time.
The authority also said the rights and interests of local residents would be fully protected throughout the process.
Launch options still under consideration
The spokesperson further said Sector F-12 could be launched separately, or both sectors could be introduced at the same time. However, the authority added that no final decision had yet been made on that point. He urged the public to rely only on official sources for updates and to refrain from spreading or believing unverified information circulating on social media and other platforms.
The statement was issued in response to reports suggesting that the two sectors were set for an imminent rollout. FGEHA maintained that such claims were premature and did not reflect the current status of the projects.
By restating that the sectors are still undergoing technical work, the authority sought to clarify that no immediate launch should be expected until the required procedures, approvals and consultations are completed.
FGEHA operates under the Ministry of Housing and Works and said it would communicate any future development on the matter through official and authorised channels only.
