Rawalpindi’s Bahria Town Phase 7 saw a life-saving intervention when Foodpanda rider Basharat Ali heard a girl’s cries, alerted residents, and helped stop an armed assault. Police arrested both suspects as the victim was rescued.

RAWALPINDI: A late-night delivery shift turned into a life-saving mission for Basharat Ali, a Foodpanda rider whose quick thinking and bravery saved a young girl from a violent assault in Bahria Town Phase 7.
While navigating the streets of Phase 7 late at night, Basharat Ali heard the distressed cries of a girl. Upon investigating the sound, he discovered a harrowing scene: two armed men were attempting to assault the girl in a secluded area.
Despite the immediate threat posed by the armed suspects, Ali did not flee. Recognizing he needed backup to secure the girl’s safety, he began shouting for help, creating a massive commotion that drew the attention of residents and passersby.
His bravery helped rescue the girl, and both attackers were later arrested by police.
The intervention worked. The gathering crowd and Ali’s refusal to back down deterred the attackers long enough for the situation to be contained. Law enforcement arrived on the scene shortly after, taking both armed individuals into custody.
The victim was safely rescued, and the local community is now hailing Basharat Ali as a hero. His selfless actions serve as a powerful reminder of the impact one individual can have when they choose to stand up against injustice, even at great personal risk.
Police officials have confirmed that an investigation is ongoing, and charges have been filed against the two suspects.
