55-year-old man sits Class 9 exam in Muzaffargarh

Muzaffargarh: A 55-year-old man, Ghulam Qadir, is taking the Class 9 examinations in Muzaffargarh, presenting what he described as a message that education is not restricted by age.

Speaking to the media, Qadir said his children had completed their education and encouraged him to resume his own studies. He said their support played an important role in his decision to return to the classroom and appear in the school examination.

Qadir said he remains committed to continuing his education despite earlier disappointments. He shared that he had failed the matriculation examination twice in the past, but said those setbacks did not cause him to give up on his goal of studying further.

According to Qadir, his previous attempt to clear the examination was 13 years ago. He said he has now returned with stronger preparation and is entering the examination hall determined to improve on his earlier attempts.

He said he intends not only to pass the current examination but also to continue his studies beyond this stage. "I will pass this time and continue my journey towards intermediate education," he said, adding that "there is no age limit for acquiring knowledge and he is committed to learning at all cost."

Determination to continue education

The candidate said his renewed effort reflects a long-standing desire to complete his education. His account highlighted both the interruptions in his academic journey and his decision to try again after a gap of more than a decade.

By appearing in the Class 9 examination at the age of 55, Qadir has drawn attention for pursuing formal education later in life. He said he is approaching the examination with full preparation and with the aim of moving on to the next academic level if successful.
