Two injured suspects arrested after police encounter near Baghwali Pulli
Two suspected robbers were arrested after being injured in a police encounter near Baghwali Pulli in Faisalabad, while two others escaped. Police said looted cash, a mobile phone and other valuables were recovered.

Faisalabad: Two suspected robbers were arrested after being injured in an exchange of fire with police near Baghwali Pulli on Monday night, while two of their alleged accomplices escaped, according to a police spokesperson.
The spokesperson said four suspects riding two motorcycles had allegedly snatched cash, a mobile phone and other valuables from a citizen near the Ayyub Research Centre Office on Jhang Road before fleeing the area.
Police said the response was launched after a call was made to the police helpline. A team led by Factory Area SHO Muhammad Riaz moved to intercept the suspects and caught up with them near Baghwali Pulli.
According to the police spokesperson, the suspects opened fire when confronted by the police and tried to flee towards Rasalawala Road, leading to a chase.
During the ensuing encounter, two of the suspects, identified as Zubair alias Jhara and Ali Asgar alias Kashi, were wounded and taken into custody, the spokesperson said. The other two suspects managed to escape while firing, according to the police account.
Police said the looted items were recovered from the arrested suspects. The two injured men were shifted to a hospital after their arrest.
An investigation into the incident has been launched, according to the police spokesperson.

As outlined by the police spokesperson, the sequence of events began with a reported street crime incident near the Ayyub Research Centre Office on Jhang Road. The suspects were alleged to have taken cash, a mobile phone and other valuables from a citizen before attempting to escape on motorcycles.
The police team, led by Factory Area SHO Muhammad Riaz, then moved in after receiving information through the helpline. Near Baghwali Pulli, officers intercepted the suspects, after which, according to police, the men opened fire and attempted to get away in the direction of Rasalawala Road.
Police said the confrontation ended with the arrest of two injured suspects and the escape of two others. The recovered property was taken into police custody, while the arrested men were moved to hospital for treatment.
